Our first Trip:
Our first trip organized by Heather Miller, our Christian Activities Director was on November 28th to the Bob Carr Theater
in Orlando to see "Home for the Holidays" by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. A great time was had by all.
There were 21 who attended the trip and we had great seats. Watch for the next trip. We will be going in February
to see "Phantom of the Opera". If you would like to join us, please call the office and ask for Heather.
Hanging of the Greens: The Youth directed the Christmas Hanging of the Greens service. All participated and the congregation even got into the celebration by decorating the pews and tree. God is alive and well in our congregation. The youth conducted the service with Bible readings, leading songs and helping all get the ornaments for the tree.
This was an awesome service, and all enjoyed seeing the youth of our church active again.
Everyone in the congregation was invited up to help with the decorating. Young and mature members really enjoyed
the fun.
The Children sang some Christmas Songs for us: The children of Children's Church entertained the congregation with Christmas songs they had learned in Sunday School
with Miss Sherri. They then passed out candy canes to all in the congregation. They were so excited and enjoyed
singing for us all.

YOUTH SKI TRIP:
The Youth went on their annual ski trip to Lake Junaleska, NC during the Christmas holiday. There were 7 youth and 4 adults attending and fun was had by all. Only one fall, led to a trip to the emergency room for Jennifer, where she was attended by the daughter of one of our members. Talk about a small world. Ask the youth about the trip. If you or your child are between the ages of 12 and 18, and would like to check out the youth group, they meet every Sunday night at 5:00. Come out and check them out. Youth Lock In:
Sunday night, Janaury 24 the Youth had a lock in at the church. There were 13 teens and three adults, in Kirtley Hall from 5 P.M. to Monday morning 10 A.M. Ping Pong, twister, and The Entertainer were among many activities enjoyed by all. Ask any youth about "Emilio". Ghost stories were exchanged by the fire and of course S'mores were enjoyed. We have such an awesome group of teens who are active in all things including Angel Food Distrbution, and recently put on a pancake breakfast for the whole congregation.
