We are well known as being the "Pumpkin Patch" church with our yearly field of pumpkins.
The United Methodist Women run an annual Rummage Sale and a Fall Festival which attract people from all over the area.
The United Methodist Men collect newspapers and aluminum cans to help with the many projects they have. Some include the annual Mother's Day Dinner and the Fall Dinner with great food and entertainment. Tickets are usually priced for all to be able to attend.
The Youth Group has had lock-ins, gone to Rock the Universe, Night of Joy, ski trips and many other events throughout the year. They are also active with the many activities at the church. The group also combines with Orange City United Methodist Church several times a year to have joint outings and events.

Our Pastor: Pastor Sandra Parsons came to FUMC in 2007. Pastor Sandy
came from the State of Pennsylvania, but was a past resident of Florida. She is married to Pastor Drew Parsons.
Pastor Sandy has encouraged many new ministries in our church including Disciple I Bible Study, Answering the Question
Bible Study, Angel Food Ministries involvement and many more programs for our members and our community. Looking for

Our Finance Manager: Meet Marie Bussell. Marie is the heartbeat
of our church. She has the responsibility of the day to day operations, bookkeeping and so many more challenges
throughout the day. Marie always has a cheerful word for everyone and you always find her positive attitude, contagious.

Our Preschool Director: We are thrilled to have Judy Clark as our Preschool Director! Judy is married and has two grown daughters. One is an Elementary School Teacher and one is a Supervisor in an ER room. Judy has two grandchildren as well that keep her very busy. Judy is pleased that our preschool is now open full time (6:30am-6:00pm) to better serve the needs in the Deltona area. She noticed that there is very little infant care in the area and is glad that we now offer care for infants through 12 year olds. We can drop off/pick up from Discovery Elementary. This might be the place you are looking for to care for your child. Stop in and check it out! |
